Ok so honestly, I never really cared much about my immune system before — I just thought eating “ok” and sleeping sometimes was enough lol. But after getting sick way too much, I started doing some simple stuff that actually helped and the best part is, I barely had to think about it once it became a habit.
Here’s some things I started doing that helped (no crazy pills or diets here):
1. Drinking More Water (Like, a lot more lol)
Sounds super basic but like, staying hydrated really helps your body fight off stuff better. I just kept a water bottle on my desk and sipped all day without even realizing. Felt less tired and my colds got shorter too.
2. Eating More Colorful Foods (Not always tho)
I don’t eat salads all the time but I started adding stuff like carrots, bell peppers, oranges when I remember. More vitamins = better immune system or whatever they say. I’m not perfect tho.
3. Moving My Body (Even just a lil)
I used to not move much but now I walk more—like park farther away or take stairs. I don’t do crazy workouts or anything but just moving around helps my blood flow and immune system.
4. Sleeping Better (Trying but not always lol)
I try to get to bed around same time mostly. Sleep is when your body fixes itself and makes immune cells. Still scroll on my phone before bed sometimes tho ♀️.
5. Washing Hands More (Duh but I wasn’t good before)
Especially after touching phone or getting home. Sounds obvious but I was lazy bout it before. Now its kinda automatic and I’m less scared of getting sick.
6. Managing Stress (Hardest thing tbh)
Stress messes your immune system up, I read somewhere. So I do little things like deep breaths or listen music when stressed. Not perfect but helps.
Final thoughts
Honestly, these habits don’t have to be hard or annoying. Just lil stuff that fits in your day and then you do it without thinking. For me, it made a difference in feeling better and getting sick less.
Try them out if u wanna boost immunity, and if you sick a lot, go see a doc!
