Ok so we all hate it when our phone battery just dies like out of nowhere right? It’s so annoying especially when u really need your phone and no charger around. But dont worry, u dont have to buy some expensive battery pack or anything to make your battery last longer, just a few easy things can help a lot.
Here are some simple tricks that work and you can do right now.
1. Turn down your screen brightness (or use auto brightness)
The screen uses like way more battery than anything else on your phone. If u keep it super bright it will drain fast, so just turn it down a bit it doesnt have to be super bright all the time. Or u can use auto brightness so the phone adjust brightness by itself depending on light outside. It’s really helpful and you dont even notice it.
2. Turn off notifications u dont need
Everytime your phone buzzes or lights up it uses battery. So go into settings and turn off notifications from apps that you dont really care about. Like, do u really need a notification from every game or shopping app? Probably not. This saves battery cuz phone wont wake up all the time.
3. Use battery saver mode (its there for a reason)
Most phones have battery saver or low power mode. It slows down your phone a bit, stop some apps running in background and turn off animations and stuff that eats battery. Your phone might feel slower but better than dead battery right?
4. Close apps running in background (but not all)
Apps running in background can drain battery even if you dont use them. But dont go crazy closing everything because some apps need to run for messages or location. Just check battery usage in settings and close or restrict apps that use too much battery.
5. Turn off wifi, bluetooth and gps when not needed
Wifi and bluetooth are good but if you dont use them they just keep searching for signals and drain battery. Same for gps/location. So turn these off if u dont need them. Like, no point having bluetooth on when youre not using headphones.
6. Avoid live wallpapers and too many widgets
Live wallpapers look cool but they suck battery. Same with too many widgets on home screen. Switch to normal wallpaper and keep widgets minimal to save battery.
7. Update your phone software (if you remember)
Phone updates sometimes fix battery bugs or improve battery life. So update your phone regularly but I know updates can be annoying or take time but it’s worth it.
8. Don’t let battery go too low or stay at 100% for long
Battery hates being at 0% or 100% too long. Try to keep battery between like 20% and 80%. I know its not always easy but its better for battery health.
9. Turn off vibrations and haptic feedback
The little buzz when u type or get notifications looks nice but it uses battery too. So turn it off if you wanna save power especially if you get many notifications.
10. Use dark mode if your phone has OLED screen
Phones with OLED screens save battery with dark mode because black pixels dont light up. Plus it looks nice too. So turn it on if you can.
Final thoughts
So yeah, these are some simple tips but they really work. You dont have to do all everyday but doing some can help your phone battery last longer. Next time ur phone is about to die try some of these tricks and see if it helps.
